A Local Renaissance Honored for her support to kids and families
I caught up with local resident, Angela Slifer, on the eve of her grand opening for the “Arms of Love House”, a home servicing children in emergency foster care need and transitional housing needs. As she continues blessing our community, she says she is the one truly blessed. Here is her words.
“My life reflects my need to create and experience all the material and sensual world has to offer. I have been courageous in my choices these last few years and it has made a difference. I gave up living by the judgement and expectations of others. I gave love to myself, which in turn allowed me to give more to others than I ever knew possible. The constructive use of my financial freedom allowed me to give my time, money and service monthly to organizations that support the arts, kids, and helping families. This joyously opened my heart and strengthened the law of circulation! I first began making an impact in the community by working with The Dragon’s Ball in January 2019 supporting kids. I love theme parties and the ball was a perfect fit to share my creative spirit. As a former teacher, I was also pulled to aide CASA House which is the bridge to Arms of Love House helping all children feel loved.
I am healthy and strong! I live a spa lifestyle getting weekly massages and treatments as needed. I allow myself to be surrounded by beautiful things and fabulous food. I achieved balanced energy levels in 2019 and my weight fell into a place that feels perfect for me. I manage my schedule to include a daily variety of exercise activities. This has led to a toned fit body that supports active 16-hour days with ease. I still like to work in 4-hour blocks whenever possible, creating breaks with massages and treatments, to keep my energy levels high and my mind focused. I look and feel amazing! Health has helped me to have the ability to do more of what my mind can create.
I became playful in my prosperity! I began working from home successfully creating an income over $10,000 a month from several streams of income before December 2019. I found talking to people daily with self-confidence about my businesses and consistently setting appointments to share and follow-up led to a successful business in Market America with Shop.com. I get great joy being with the magnetic group of people who have come together to serve each other and those around them on my Team, Project 5000. My goal was to create a team of 5000 folks doing a 5000/5000 point cycle creating income for themselves on a regular basis. I feel fortunate to be recognized for helping other help themselves, and moving forward on this goal becoming a Professional Coordinator before International Convention 2020. I love to do training all over the world that benefit others, as well as myself.
I am so excited to be working with my family in our company, ATKAS Investments. I became a realtor and use my Feng shui experience to work with my daughter on the design of our properties. My husband is our general contractor, and our son recently joined our team as our accountant. It is awesome fun working together to flip homes and upgrade neighborhoods! It feels great to see how my designs ” wow ” others.. We also use our company, time and resources to help Habitat for Humanity within the DFW area as well.
Although I do much to aide my community, I also love to travel and play with family and friends often. My husband, Tim, and I take trips quarterly and date weekly, trying new events and activities. This focus on romance has kept us close and our life together fun. I visit or talk to my children and parents weekly. I was elated to experience Japan this past spring through my son, Austin’s eyes. Traveling allows me to find my ever expanding self which I offer back to the world in new ideas and experiences.
I love traveling, but also love being in my fully renovated home which is cozy, comfortable and welcoming to visitors. We love to entertain and the space we have created is amazing and sharing it with others fulfills me. We redid our backyard to use it for fun and entertaining. We added a pool and hot tub to go with our pergola covered flagstone patio. I love hanging out here and playing water volleyball. It is relaxing and helps to ground and refocus myself for the next adventure.
I have had to give up a lot of bad habits in order to set my life on this path that delights my senses and provides me with my every desire, but the rewards have been nothing short of miraculous. I love my life, and hope that others feel blessed by my being here!
